Tagging Instructions

Items needed:  paper, hangers, safety pins (1 inch or smaller), ziploc bags, clear packing tape, and masking tape (for games boxes, books, videos)

Consignors must have a minimum of 15 items to consign. Please follow all of these instructions:

Entering items:
1. Login to the online tagging system ("My Rugrats Login") on our website using your consignor number and password. Returning consignors use their number and the password "9999." Review and sign the "Seller Agreement."
2. Choose "Work With Consigned Inventory" and enter each item using the drop-down menus. For each item indicate the category, description, size, whether it will be donated, and whether it will go 1/2 price.  Make sure to use the correct category as that determines the sales tax. VIEW OUR VIDEO DEMO OF THE SYSTEM (Tagging Demo) TO SEE HOW IT WORKS!
3. Only maternity clothing items can be sized using S/M/L/XL. Children's clothing needs to be numbered (6 mo., 2T).
4. You can add/subtract/change your inventory at any time through the links on our website.
5. If you decide not to consign an item, please delete it from your inventory online prior to the sale.
6. Our designated charity is Centre Grounds, a community-based initiative to establish a non-profit community center for young children and their families in Centre County. All unsold items that are marked to be donated, will be given to Centre Grounds. These items will be sold in a yard sale to raise money for the group. Please visit their website for more info, www.centregrounds.org.

Printing tags:
1. Print your tags (10 per page) on heavy paper (28 lb. or 32 lb.). VIEW OUR VIDEO DEMO (Printing Tags Demo). We are not requiring cardstock, but you are welcome to use it. You can print one or multiple tags at a time.
2. If you change info on an item and you had already printed the tag, make sure to print a new tag.
3. The barcodes must be legible. If your printer can not do that, please contact Rugrats about printing your tags prior to the sale. IMPORTANT: Bad barcodes will require us to hand enter your items at checkout , which slows the lines down.

Hanging clothing:
1. All clothing must be hung.
2. Hanger hook faces left, like a question mark.
3. Hang a two-piece outfit with the shirt on a hanger, pinning the skirt/pants on with two large safety pins at the shoulder seams. Or hang each item on separate hangers and tie the hangers together.
4. If you are putting several shirts or several pants/skirts/shorts together, use the same method as above. Sleepers and onesies can also be hung this way.

Attaching tags to clothing:
Safety pin the tag to the upper right of the garment when looking at the front of the item. Use 1-inch safety pins or smaller. Pin through the tag and garment horizontally (right to left).

Preparing non-hanging items:
1. Clean toys and equipment.
2. Battery-operated toys must have working batteries.
3. Bag small parts and seal with tape.
4. Put books, videos, DVDs, and CDs plastic bags. There's a limit of 10 videos per consignor.
5. Shoes must be in excellent condition. Tie the laces together or use string.
6. Small items (bibs, hair bows, bottles, socks, etc.) should be bagged. Seal the bag with tape.

Attaching tags to non-hanging items:
1. Shoes:  Pin the sale tag through the shoelaces or attach with string.
2. Toys:  For toys in plastic bags, pin the tag through the bag. For unbagged toys, use clear packing tape.
3. Books/videos:  Pin the tag through the bag or use masking tape to attach the tag to the book.
